About the second guru (Denmark)

Mehavi Pathmasekaran started learning Bharatanatyam, at the age of three, from her Aunt Smt. Yalini P. Balendren.

The year after, she started learning Carnatic Vocal from Smt. Kumuthini Prithviraj and Western Violin at Skjern Music School and presented her first Violin performance at the age of five.

In 2012 she completed her Bharatanatya Arangetram and later IITA exam 6th grade in Bharatanatyam. In. 2014 she started learning Carnatic vocal from Smt. Saroja Krishnan and later same year she completed Post Diploma in both Carnatic vocal and Bharatanatyam, and received the titel “Vidya Bhushan” from Oriental Examination Board London.

In 2019 she presented a Bharatanatya Margam at Narada Gana Sabha – Chennai, under the guidance of Guru Sri. V. Balagurunathan and Carnatic Vocal performance under the guidance of Smt. Saroja Krishnan.

The last few years Mehavi Pathmasekaran has been performing as a vocalist and nattuvanginist for Bharatanatya Events for Nithya Sathangai Narthanaalaya art college.

In 2020 she recently started learning Nattuvangam from guru D.V Prasanna Kumar.
Besides her passion for Indian Classical Dance and Music she also studies Physics & Technology Engineering at the University of Southern Denmark.
